Welcome to Choir practice

Welcome to the feast of Walpurgisnacht.

No moderators, but beware Azazello's pistol and Behemoth's claws.
Police yourselves, and enjoy the party.

Your Host,
Woland

The dress code remains, as always, minimal.

Is that you Alice? My Cyrillic is a bit rusty, to say the least.

Alice,

If you create a new email account here, and send it to me here, I'll enroll you as an author of the blog. You can then create your own "threads" and get comments on them.

You can, of course, rely on my complete discretion in all things.

how do people open own profile

Azazello said...

Alice,

If you are signed in as you (look upper right for "sign in") You should be able to see your profile, and should be offered the option to "share your profile" (or not). You should also be offered the opportunity to "Edit profile"

You might choose a picture from the slideshow. Behemoth, Koroviev, and I are all there...

Gotta fly!

To vie your profile, click on your name.

That should work

Alice said...

The cream has worked so well I became invisible. Can't even post. Will try now again.

Alice said...

Aha. So, first one has to "sign up" then find "the blog you follow in the profile", then come back to the blog and then one can post. Uncroyable.

Professor Woland said...

I'm having trouble signing in to my oen blog! How frustrating is that? I'm Bloody Woland!

It seems that clearing those damned "cookies" or whatever in firefox has somehow screwed up how blogspot handles it.

This in Opera, seems OK.

Uncroyable? Damned right it's uncroyable!

GRRRRRRRRR

Azazello said...

The problem seems to be with firefox itself. others have been reporting the same problem. This is coming to you via seamonkey browser. A firefox relative, but possibly quicker.

Dobry den' priyatnaya minutka liebste Azaziulia :o)
(Good day, pleasant minute)

I was flying around today a lot. but not enough. Still chicken to do smth strategic ab the cat, go around in (tiring) circles applying palliative measures. Btw 7 and 1 (pm-am) managed to get to the vet clinic to buy foods a bit, then to go to dacha, to fetch water, to wash veranda floor (1) and get back to the city apt. 2 to 3 walked the dog. Now making red currants jam. Plan to take cat out to breathe as well, at least by the house door. It's 20 C - at night! Awful hot weather.
How ab currants, in near around the Glen?

Alice said...

Speaking into the darkness, for the light :o)
Oh it began raining.

Incredible unfair-y?- ness, Mark Mardells' closed for comments, Justin Webb's closed for comments, and where are the regulars of the European blog in the Beeb to meet?!! To dissolve such a good company, without a warning, in a very un-caring matter, and for a month! As MM wrote "I'll start writing in the beg of September; the new Euroblog journalist will also "start in Septemeber", so it's a month's break. And who is to serve as a roof for the warm company meanwhile, provide us place to talk to each other - Pushkin?!
Good there is this parachute, at least for leaving short hello-s and asking each other how things are, but if there were a warning - I'd tell others - "in case of an emergency - visit the parachute provided by Hesiodos in MM blog XXX , post XXX" but as it were the BBC gave no such chance! Uncroyable. Alice.

Alice,

You could provide a note on the PM blog, which is still very much alive, or visit the PM beach for company...

I've just been here, for a quick visit

There are other possibilities.....

Gotta fly!

This blog should now accept comments from anyone.

Bloody Google/blogspot use non-standard xhtml which screws up folk signing in (at least in firefox).

Come one, come all, and I'll clear out any chaff!

Just try me!
